Weekly vocal workout

My weekly vocal technique class Weekly Vocal Workout resumes this Friday after the Easter break – £5 per session, Fridays on Zoom 0930-1000 or in your own time on video. When I started this half hour weekly class for Choral Society members early in the 2020 lockdown I didn’t imagine it would still be going strong in 2022.

Testimonials include:

“I think to sum it up it’s been a lifeline for us all, and not just vocally.”

“always enjoyable, well-structured, highly informative and brilliantly taught”.

“I’ve much enjoyed Lyn’s working-from-home vocal workout enabling gentle, focussed and fully explained exercises in a non-judgemental setting! Great sense of camaraderie, too.”

” The class is relaxed and varied with clear, useful exercises, very helpful for keeping the voice in shape and sorting out problems with breathing and tension“

The recordings have been a particular boon and make it very easy to practise between times, but it has also been great to have the social contact with yourself and the other singers, particularly during full lockdowns when everything was so shut down.  You’re so very upbeat and positive it keeps us all going!“

Easter from King’s 2020

Thank goodness for the seasonal ritual of Easter from King’s and the BBC!  Luckily this was pre-recorded before coronavirus lockdown.

It was so lovely to hear my choristers singing – I look forward to the time when I can return to teaching them face-to-face.

Carols from King’s & Queen’s Speech

So proud of my choristers at King’s College Cambridge today. What a wonderful 100th Nine Lessons and Carols! Pupils singing solo on radio/TV and on The Queen’s Speech.

Here’s a link to a very special TV programme, Carols from King’s. Happy Christmas!
