BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Month

I’m so proud of my singing pupils “The boys of King’s College Choir fully live up to their illustrious tradition and treble Tom Pickard in the ‘Pie Jesu’ sends shivers down the spine in the approved manner’. ‘The ‘Messe Basse’ is an absolute delight, the trebles Joshua Curtis and Adam Banwell matching their colleague in radiance of tone.’

I have just spent a fun few weeks in Australia with the Choir of King’s College Cambridge. I am a very proud singing teacher and enjoyed seeing the enthusiastic response of Australian audiences>

‘most impressive of all, perhaps, was the treble’s solo ‘O dear white children’ where the purity of sound made it particularly affecting’.

Limelight Magazine said of the Britten ‘The substantial treble solo was handled with a terrific sense of line and the radiant solos on “O weep child weep” and “wear your tribulation like a rose” showed a maturity of musical expression rare in such young singers’.
