Limelight Magazine said of the Britten ‘The substantial treble solo was handled with a terrific sense of line and the radiant solos on “O weep child weep” and “wear your tribulation like a rose” showed a maturity of musical expression rare in such young singers’.

Later this month NMC will release a BBC recording of Judith Weir’s The Vanishing Bridegroom which I recorded with the BBC Singers/BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Martyn Brabbins. Small solos were taken by the BBC Singers, including myself.
I was pleased to conduct and sing in the south of France last week in some beautiful and ancient churches full of atmosphere and history. Wolfson Chamber Singers sang their hearts out and the local audiences loved them and the English repertoire we performed. I also enjoyed singing Durufle’s Pie Jesu in his homeland.
